Duo scrub all dates for arena trek in support of new LP Ohio players without explanation
The black keys have canceled the upcoming North American leg of their International Players tour, with dates for the tour abruptly deleted without explanation from the band's social media pages and official website.
On Friday, fans noticed that the Ticketmaster listing for the North American shows of the International Players tour — which was set to begin September 17 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and run through November 12 in Detroit — listed all shows as canceled.
The individual venue listings for the concerts — including a Sept. 18 concert at Austin's Moody Center and October 30 performance at New York's Madison Square Garden — also updated the pages to acknowledge that the shows had been canceled and that fans would automatically receive refunds. “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has been forced to cancel this event,” the Moody Center's registration famous.
The Black Keys' tour” rel=”nofollow” target=”_blank”>official webpage has also scrapped all of the band's upcoming tour dates except for a one-off appearance, a July 6 concert at Chicago's NASCAR Street Race.
The duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, who have just completed a European leg in support of their new album Ohio players, have not issued an announcement regarding the cancellations. A representative for the band did not respond Rolling rockhis request for comment at press time.
The cancellation doesn't appear to be health-related, as the Black Keys just appeared in the season finale The voice earlier this week.
