Ex Medias, a renowned artist collective celebrated for their unity and diverse talents, has revealed the release of the fourth edition in its esteemed former media compilation series. This latest release, which includes a whopping 15 tracks, marks a significant milestone for the collective, showcasing their dedication to presenting a broad spectrum of sounds and talents while strengthening their distinctive bond as a creative family.
The album release is Able Grey with “I need your love”, presenting MEDYK, establishing a precedent with its emotionally charged melodic bass that exemplifies the deep emotional range that can be achieved in electronic music. Following his example, JWILLI “It's not that easy” offers a more introspective perspective, combining robust drum and bass elements with a contemplative mood.
The rhythm changes with Free Apollo “Everything you want VIP”, a track that intensifies the impact of drum and bass. FLYNNINHO raises the stakes even further with “TEAR DOWN THE CLUB”, featuring a robust riddim that raises the energy to unprecedented levels.
Emurse “Parallax“offers a cinematic experience of the wave genre, immersing listeners in a dystopian soundscape, while DREAMBAY'S “DANCE WITH ME!” offers respite with its lively and melodic mid-tempo rhythms. Zarkilor then surprises with “Day to day”, an experimental fusion of breaks and UKG, showing a penchant for inventive soundscapes.
The compilation explores various house influences, from the smooth piano melodies of jon Alfaro & Yorii “Anxious” and black out “Something about you”to the classic vibes of Fourth Company “Designed and engineered.” Djorgiou and PsychE “Monster” introduces a fun tech house track, which contrasts with DJ GANSOIt's darker”Dark clouds”, a drum and bass piece characterized by its minimalist but melodic approach.
As the build nears completion, frequency “BREAK INTO PIECES” and HASHBBC “Take it underground” features riddim and dubstep, delivering energetic anthems. The end, 80/40's”Obsessions”, combines electro and mid-tempo elements, bringing the journey to a satisfying and complete end.
