The track vibrates with strange and melodic sounds, combining deep bass with hypnotic vocals to induce goosebumps. Painting an emotionally charged soundscape, CANVAS, which is gearing up for a landmark festival taking place at Nashville's Deep Tropics this summer, effortlessly weaves light and dark elements into “Unknown Number.”
The psychedelic song begins with the haunting dial tone of a telephone before a soft, tantalizing vocal chorus melts into an all-encompassing bass line. Meanwhile, CANVAS' production brims with emotion and depth.
“'Unknown Number' is about that inner calling that can't be ignored,” he said in a press release. “The calling that is unique to you, that rings indefinitely and grows in persistence until it is answered.
