The Argentine star talks in an intimate chat about relationships, how she pours her feelings into songs, and her upcoming collaboration with Alejandro Sanz. Moderated by Leila Cobo from Billboard.
Nicki Nicole:
When I released that song, it was no longer mine, it belonged to many other women and also people who said: “Hey, I don't want to live in the past anymore, I simply want to live in the present, enjoy it.” So yes, obviously we talk about love for other people who have left or who are here or who are coming, but we also talk a lot about ourselves, which is for me the most important catharsis. I also really liked the fact of the messages I received from many women. A lot of support, a lot of love, which is something that is a little difficult when you mix private life with exposure, because a lot of people come out and say: “Ah, well,” you understand? “Now they are going to do this.” I mean, they kind of come out to give their opinions and things like that and it's difficult. So, I said, “Okay, this is happening, it's up to me to say something or not say it, but I feel like I have to say it and it also goes hand in hand with who I am.” I sing what I live and say what I feel. And if it weren't like that, I wouldn't be 100% me.
Leila Cobo:
