Rising Sydney/Eora artist total tommy returns with their latest offering in the form of second single, “Losing Out”.
It's a track that seamlessly blends indie melodies from Tommy with the raw emotion of grunge music to capture the universal feeling of frustration in human relationships.
On the new single, total tommy says –
“Someone I respected completely broke my trust and left me paralyzed for a while. I spent a lot of time going through the motions and felt really overwhelmed. I'd been putting off writing about this for a few months, but once I started it was all super visceral and the lyrics came together in about fifteen minutes. The first day demo we had was really special because it was so raw. I didn't want to touch it because I wasn't sure I could replicate what we shot that day. But then I had my friend play live drums on the track and it took it to a whole other dimension. It's my favorite song to play live because I can get angry on the guitar and put out a lot of energy. I'm not mad anymore, but fuck this guy.”
