The rising star will release her debut album 'American Hero' on June 28
Towa Bird is gearing up to release her debut album American hero this June — but before he does, he's got a new single to call them all out. The singer and guitarist dropped “Sorry Sorry” ahead of her new LP.
In the catchy, bubbly tune, the singer describes how “tears and tequila made the secrets come out” with a friend who wants to be more than friends. In the chorus, however, Bird worries about losing this person as her friend. After a tense car ride, he says “I'm sorry” for all the things left unsaid. He teased the song on Instagram earlier this week, posting a photo of an answering machine and a short clip of him singing along to the audio.
The Filipino-British singer started releasing music last year and ended up on Renée Rapp's tour as the opening act alongside Alexander23. She released a live EP recorded during her sets on that tour at New York's Terminal 5. It featured a cover of Blur's “Song 2”.
American hero will be released on June 28.
