The celestial architect of trance music, ATB, have announced their latest studio album, bringing a moving close to a career that soundtracked the dreams of a generation.
The German dance music legend, who has been active for approximately three decades, will release her latest studio album in 2025, according to a press release shared with EDM.com. It has not announced a concrete release date at the time of writing this article.
10 studio albums and over 55 Gold and Platinum albums later, ATB's euphoric music continues to captivate fans. From the timeless vocals of “9PM (Till I Come)” to the groovy grandeur of “Ecstasy,” many of their songs are considered generational classics in the trance tradition.
In 2021, we asked the influential producer what drove him to continue making music.
“You know, when I was five and ten years old, I used to pick up instruments and create new melodies. It's always been a goal of mine to make melodies that would survive over the years,” ATB told us in an interview at the time. “Every time someone comes to me and tells me that a song of mine gave them a really hard time, I say to myself, 'Okay, that's why I'm making music.' So this is what drives me to do more music. I can be in other people's lives through my music and it's a good feeling.”
As the radiant final crescendo echoes through their studio, ATB are launching a tour in 2024, ironically billed as “Don't Stop.” The summer tour, which begins today, “will allow fans to hear all of ATB's classics, but with special attention to the unreleased music that will appear on the final studio album,” according to the press release.
