Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday morning (June 20) for disorderly intoxication and trespassing, CNN References. Miami-Dade County Jail registrations show that Scott — born Jacques Webster — was arrested for trespassing after a warning.
Advertising sign reached out to the rapper's attorney and representatives, as well as Miami-Dade police for comment.
According to the cable news network, Scott (born Jacques Webster) was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail at 4:35 a.m. ET after his arrest at 1:44 a.m. He faces charges of trespassing along with disorderly intoxication. The agency, citing jail records, says Scott has already posted $650 bond after his early morning arrest at the Miami Beach Marina.
Scott was on a chartered boat and allegedly had a dispute with another crew member, CNN reported, citing law enforcement. The police were called and he was asked to leave the scene, which he did. According to the affidavit obtained by the cable news network, police — who were wearing body cameras — saw the rapper yelling at the crew on the yacht and could “sense a strong odor of alcohol” on his breath. But he returned minutes later and allegedly started shouting at the crew again, despite police telling him not to approach the boat, leading to his arrest.
“The defendant later admitted that he had consumed alcohol and stated, 'It's Miami,'” CNN reported from the affidavit.
Scott was seen having fun with his mug shot after his release on Thursday morning. In one Instagram Stories post, she added a pair of white headphones and brown shades to the photo.
It's not the first time the 33-year-old has run afoul of the law. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after allegedly inciting a riot at a concert in Northwest Arkansas the previous year. The rapper is also embroiled in a litany of lawsuits linked to the 2021 Astroworld festival, which left 10 dead and more than 700 injured.
The final death trial from the festival was settled in May. Terms of the deal remain unknown. The family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, who was killed in the Houston festival crowd, sued Scott along with Live Nation, Apple and other entities associated with Astroworld.
