Tyla & Travis Scott Brave the Storm in Steamy 'Water (Remix)' Video: Watch

Ahead of the arrival of her self-titled debut album on Friday (March 22), Tyla gets romantic in the Travis Scott-assisted “Water (Remix)” video.

The blue clip arrived on Tuesday (March 19). Tyla dances sensually in the rain and makes out with La Flame while they are separated by a glass window.

A shirtless Scott ignores the drizzle and pushes Tyla to deliver his heady verse, peering through his white shades into her soul. “You keep it wet, that's a real life challenge/ All this ass gotta spill by the gallons/ Beauty on top, keep a balance,” he raps.

The rising amapiano/R&B star initially didn't want to remix “Water,” but after Travis reached out, she couldn't resist the urge to hear what he'd bring to the record.

“I didn't really think about remixing. I was like, “Oh, let's just get 'Water,' it's cool, whatever.” But then people started reaching out and I was like, 'oh my word, ah my word,'” Tyla said. Complex in December.

“And I started getting excited and then Travis reached out and I literally couldn't… like, I couldn't say no. his music is crazy. So after he reached out, we sent him this open verse and he came back and killed him, you know, killed him.”

“Water” was released by Tyla last July, with his boss Cactus Jack making the official remix in November. Marshmellow was also involved in a second remix.

Tyla's hit has remained a staple on the Billboard Hot 100 for more than five months. The track sits at No.17 on this week's chart after peaking at No.7.

“From the beginning of the record-making process, we sought to find the best chemistry between creatives from different backgrounds to reflect the worldly influences you hear in the song,” said Epic Records President Ezekiel Lewis.
