Usher has announced that he is gearing up to release a concert film.
The singer-songwriter and dancer has revealed that he will be releasing a concert film titled Usher: Rendezvous in Paris on 12 September.
The concert film, which will premiere in cinemas for a limited run, was filmed during his eight-show residency during Paris Fashion Week at La Seine Musicale in 2023.
Rendezvous in Paris will take a behind-the-scenes look at Usher’s life and will feature some of his biggest hits, including Yeah and Love In This Club.
“USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS is coming to cinemas WORLDWIDE Sept 12 – 15,” the artist announced on Instagram on Tuesday. “It was a gift to perform in the City of Lights and I can’t wait to share that gift to U.”
The concert film, directed by Anthony Mandler, will be released in 2000 theatres worldwide.
In a new statement, Usher said that performing in Paris was a “special experience”.
“Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” he shared. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. For those of you who were there, I hope you see the show through a different lens.”
In addition to the concert film, Usher is preparing for the Usher: Past Present Future tour, which kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia on 14 August.
