You can add Vin Diesel on the list of celebrities who now have a bad name, allegedly. The actor's former assistant is now accusing him of sexual assault.
Vanity fair reports that the man born Mark Sinclair is facing some very serious charges. Asta Jonasson says she worked for the movie star during his filming Fast Five in 2010. According to the documents, Jonasson claims she was hired to support Vin in his day-to-day tasks that ranged from organizing his schedule to attending events with him. Asta says that in September of that year, Vin Diesel drugged her in his suite at the St. Regis.
“Ms. Jonasson was afraid to more forcefully deny her supervisor, knowing that getting him out of that room was vital to both her personal and job security,” the filing states. “But this hope died when Vin Diesel dropped to his knees, pushed Ms. Jonasson's dress to her waist and abused her body, running his hands up Ms. Jonasson's legs, including her inner thighs.” She says he then pinned her to the wall and enjoyed himself.Hours later, Asta received a call from Vin's sister, Samantha Vincent, informing her that she had been fired from her job.
Bryan Freedman, Vin Diesel's attorney, gave an exclusive statement to Vanity fair denying the allegations. “Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel vehemently denies this allegation in its entirety,” he said. “This is the first he has ever heard of this over 13 year old claim made by a supposed 9 day employee. There is clear evidence that completely refutes these outlandish claims.”
Vin Diesel has yet to comment on the matter.
