Jelly Roll recently joined Morgan Wallen onstage during Wallen's headline show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on August 8, where they teamed up to perform Wallen's hit “Cowgirls.” In a new video, Bunnie XO shares how Jelly Roll prepared for the moment behind the scenes.
In a video posted by Bunnie XO on socials, Jelly Roll is seen backstage listening to “Cowgirls” and memorizing the lyrics, while she provides support as he sings along to the song.
She captioned the video: “When your husband doesn't know [sic] the words to the song he's going to sing, so you help him crush it when he goes out there with Morgan.”
“Cowgirls” is Wallen's Billboard Country Airplay hit with singer-songwriter Ernest. With Ernest absent that night, Wallen had some help from Jelly Roll, who performed the song's second verse and joined Wallen on the chorus.
Although Jelly Roll appears to briefly stumble over a couple of lyrics during rehearsal, he's back in full force singing the song, singing “long live cowgirls” directly to Bunnie XO.
Jelly Roll commented on Bunnie XO's video, saying, “It's all a product of being in love.” The end of the video reveals that the support has served him well, showing performance footage of Jelly Roll and Wallen tearing up the song on stage with ease.
Wallen is known for his walk-out videos, which show the singer-songwriter getting fired up for his performances each night as he enters the stadium. Bunnie XO recently had an instant display of her own, sharing a TikTok clips of her own moment of departure before one of Jelly Roll's performances, with Wallen's 'Broadway Girls' being the music video's exit.
