A heartfelt moment between two Australian legends was captured on camera at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
Thanks to her incredible swimming performances, Alexa Leary has been making waves, both literally and figuratively, at the Paris sporting event. The Australian athlete broke the 100m freestyle world record twice in 24 hours, according to Yahoo Sports Australia.
As the new world record holder, Leary of course took home the gold medal for her performance in the pool. The electronic music-loving swimmer was pulled aside after her win to receive a congratulatory message from none other than fellow Australian FISHER.
The DJ and house music superstar called Leary an “absolute legend” before telling her that he and their newborn baby will be watching her perform later at the Summer Paralympics. She expressed her surprise and excitement at the surprise message and said it made her day before expressing her interest in joining him on stage at a future event – and perhaps even babysitting.
“Come on, bring it home, girl!” said FISHER. “We love you, you're such an inspiration.”
