The French city of Cannes is perhaps best known for its lavish film festival, but a completely different type of festival is giving it a run for its money: Les Plages Électroniques.
Imagine this: dancing on the velvety sands of Cannes, the rhythm pulsating in your feet, the Mediterranean Sea sparkling in a 360° panorama. This is Les Plages Électroniques, where 15 hours of uninterrupted music from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. provide the soundtrack to an atmosphere full of glamour.
By day, Les Plages Électroniques is a sun-drenched beachside rave with upbeat dance music along the coast of the French Riviera. At night, it becomes a sublime festival with seven stages that shine under the stars of the Cannes night sky.
The beloved music festival is the largest beach party in France and one of the largest in Europe, according to its organizers, who in 2024 expect 60,000 people to attend from August 16 to 18. They will be able to dance “on the most beautiful beach on the Croisette”, according to the Cannes Tourist Office.
The impressive festival's 2024 line-up is huge and includes Kaytranada, FISHER, Boris Brejcha, Timmy Trumpet, Paul Kalkbrenner, Apashe, Lost Frequencies, Nico Moreno and EDM.com Class of 2024 star Sara Landry, among others.
