The WNBA is back for what could be a championship-defining season. The preseason begins with Caitlin Clark making her Indiana Fever debut against the Dallas Wings on Friday (May 3).
“The hug was amazing,” Clark said of Indiana inside recent interview. “I think I'm coming to a city that's really supportive [not just] basketball, but especially women's basketball, I really couldn't imagine a better place to play my first season in the WNBA. I am very excited.”
Of course, Clark isn't the only rookie making her debut. Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardosa will also suit up tonight, for theirs first WNBA game against the Chicago Sky on Friday, while Cameron Brink will play his first game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday night (May 4).

ESPN's platforms will broadcast coverage of 25 WNBA games during the regular season, which begins Tuesday, May 14. CBS/Paramount+ will air and telecast eight WNBA games. The 12th will be available on CBS Sports Network, the 40th on NBA TV and the 21st on Prime Video.
The season opener will have a doubleheader with Indiana at the Connecticut Sun and the Las Vegas Aces at the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday, May 14.
The WNBA Tip-Off, presented by CarMax, will take place on Saturday, May 18. The doubleheader will begin with the New York Liberty vs. Indiana at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC, followed by Las Vegas vs. Los Angeles Sparks at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.
