There seems to be some clarity on the long overdue Vultures 2 feat. Ye (ex-Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign. of the West YZY website provided an updated message explaining on Wednesday (July 31) that all orders have been fulfilled and shipped and V2 scheduled to arrive on Friday (August 2).
Advertising sign has contacted Ty Dolla $ign's representatives.
“ALL ORDERS FULFILLED VULTURES 2 COMING AUGUST 2,” the site's home page reads. Apart from this message about the project and clothing orders, the white background only shows the current date and time.
Fans went into a frenzy as information about the impending release date began to spread. Some on social media were buying the hype, while others said they would believe it when they saw it, as Ye has a habit of missing target release dates.
“I won't believe it until the 15th listen,” a fan he tweeted while another echoed the sentiment, saying, “We've been through this a million times, man.”
One person even updated the meme to add the alternate Vultures cover to Ye's collection of legendary works that never found their way to official streaming release.
Once upon a time, Vultures 2 was supposed to arrive on March 8 before being pushed to May 3, and then the sequel's work was delayed indefinitely.
However, Ty Dolla $ign revealed on his cover with Advertising sign this June V2 it was more or less, but they were deciding how to properly release the album.
“We got all the songs. Basically, it's just like, “How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?”, he had said at the time. “Some people will probably expect you to make the exact same sound. But that sound is already out.”
A pair Vultures Listening experiences are on the calendar for August, with Ye and Ty heading to South Korea (August 23) and Taiwan (August 25) next month — and fans are hoping new music will come with them.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have not commented on a potential Friday release date Vultures 2.
