Huge news coming from the long-running YSL affair. The last two defendants, Deamonte Kendrick aka Jacques Gotti & Shannon Stillwell have been found not guilty of murder in the gang trial. Yak walks free without charge, while Shannon is convicted of one count of having a gun as a felon. Although he was found not guilty of the remaining charges, he was sentenced to a full 10 years in prison. Since he already served 2 years, that time counts and will finish the rest of his probation.
Less than 48 hours after he was beaten and stabbed by another inmate, Jacques Gotti walks away from the YSL trial with a not guilty verdict.
This follows its release Young Thugthe superstar and face of YSL on October 31, 2024. Thugger has pleaded not guilty in the massive YSL case in Georgia, which is one of the longest trials in the state's history. The case sought to link the YSL label to a street gang, accusing them of crimes such as drugs and violence. Thug avoided a lengthy sentence and got out earlier than people thought. Now that the stoner rapper is free, he still has to follow some rules like:
- Banned from Metro Atlanta for 10 years except for family weddings, funerals, graduations or serious illness
- Must give four annual anti-gang/gun presentations/concerts in Metro Atlanta
- He is allowed to travel for work
- No contact with gang members or co-defendants (except his brother and Guna)
- Gang-related promotion is prohibited

Big day for the YSL label!
