To create a perfectly dramatic ending, The Bachelor requires that some secrets be kept secret each year. This season's final couple, Joey and Kelsey, have been together for months, but only went public after the conclusion of the show's 28th installment.
Before this week, the two had to keep their lips especially tight, but they found solace in songs like Taylor Swift's “Dress.” “'Our secret moment in a room full of people/They have no idea about you and me'; “That's exactly what I feel every time Joey and I make eye contact,” Kelsey says. “There are all these other women here, but we felt like ourselves at that moment.”
“Every time I missed Kelsey, I would tell one of the producers, 'Play that song right now,'” Joey confirms. It became a secret code for the two as they navigated the inevitable dating drama on ABC.
Now engaged, Joey and Kelsey decided to round up some of their favorite albums that make them think about love, which mostly means albums that make them think about each other.
“I've shown Joey a lot of music; I’m not sure he likes everything, but we agree on pop and country,” Kelsey shares. Joey adds, “We both like alternative and singer-songwriter style music, but lately country has been huge for me.”
