Karol G and Feid won the 2024 Latin American Music Awards, taking home six trophies each on Thursday night (April 25).
The former won the coveted Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“TQG” with Shakira) and album of the Year (Mañana Será Bonito). while the latter won Collaboration of the Year (“Yandel 150” featuring Yandel), Global Latin Song of the Year, and Streaming Artist of the Year, to name a few accolades.
Other top winners were Shakira and Young Miko with three awards each. and with two awards each, Marshmello, Peso Pluma, RBD, Romeo Santos and Yandel, who also won the special Latin AMA Pioneer Award for his contribution to the reggaetón movement. (See full list of winners here)
Themed “We Speak Música,” the award ceremony aired its first bilingual edition with co-hosts Thalia, Becky G, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce.
“It's my first time coming to one of these awards and I'm not ashamed to be Pocha, speaking in Spanish,” Becky exclusively said. Advertising sign in view of its opportunity for co-organization. “The fact that this is a historic moment that I'm a part of, for me, makes me so proud.”
The Latin AMAs aired live at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 25, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas via Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX.

Morat talks about Team Frontera
Colombian pop group Morat are set to embark on “perhaps our biggest ever tour” in Latin America, visiting countries including Nicaragua for the first time. While preparing for their extended tour, the four-piece also shared an update on their highly anticipated collaboration with Grupo Frontera that is currently being teased on social media. “It's coming out soon, but the idea was that people started learning the song first. It creates a lot of expectations,” the team said.

Sheila E gushes over Morat
Speaking of Morat, the boys might have won a new fan. While they were giving interviews to the press, Sheila E aka The Queen of Percussion was next to them speaking at another exit. In the middle of her interview, she stopped to gush over the Colombian band singing one of their songs. Sheila couldn't help but shake her shoulders and hips to Morat's acapella.

Is Eslabon Armado Going Reggaeton?
On the red carpet we saw Eslabon Armado and Yng Lvcas exchanging handshakes, group photos and a few words. When asked about their interaction, lead singer Pedro Tovar said, “I'm trying to get into reggaetón and his stuff is fire. I really like his music and I hope in the future we can work with Yng Lvcas.” Eslabon won Best Collaboration – Regional Mexican for “Ella Baila Sola” with help from Peso Pluma.

Carin & Marc's double date
Carin León and Marc Anthony ran into each other on the red carpet of the Latin AMAs, where they took the opportunity to pose for the cameras, each with the other. In public, it looked like a double date made in heaven. Carin was cuddled up to his girlfriend and Marc side by side with his wife, Paraguayan model Nadia Ferreira – both couples enjoying the highlight of their evening.

Steve Aoki Networking
Steve Aoki stopped by to talk to the press about his latest music projects, but more importantly, to network with Latin artists. Hailed in the Hispanic community as “Esteban Aoki” for being one of the first mainstream DJs to work with acts like Daddy Yankee, TINI and Natanael Cano, the artist didn't stop himself from making new connections at the Latin AMAs. On the carpet, we saw him snap a few photos with groundbreaking Mexican artist Gabito Ballesteros, and even exchange contact information with Colombian singer Manuel Medrano.

Latin Dream collaboration by Victoria Justice
Victoria Justice was in attendance at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards where she presented Peso Pluma with Best album – Regional Mexican for Genesis. But before the presentation, the pop star and actress revealed to Advertising sign what her ultimate dream Latin collaboration would be. “Oh my god, there's so much, but I mean, I love Becky G, I think she's amazing. Or Karol G, too, that would be fun. Any of the G really!” she noted.

The long-term collaboration of Silvestre Dangond
Moments before walking the red carpet, Silvestre Dangond announced his upcoming collaboration with Carlos Vives, 'Tú o Yo', on social media. On the carpet, he revealed to Advertising sign that this exact collaboration has been 20 years in the making and it's finally happening. “I feel like no work was done, I feel like the universe conspired in both of our favors,” he said. “If we had wanted it at any other time, we would not have succeeded. But everything conspired. The desire, the wanting it […] A series of things started happening that ended up bringing us together until we got to this song.”

Christian Chávez receives a surprise
Christian Chávez was on hand at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards to accept the award for tour of the year, but backstage, he was surprised with another win for RBD: best duo or group – pop. He was in complete disbelief. “This moment is beautiful,” he said. “To represent my colleagues, RBD, a whole generation. For us it is something wonderful to receive these two awards.”

Kali Uchis Talks Motherhood
Kali Uchis made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards, where she received the award for Best album – Pop for her Spanish-language set, Orchids. After her win, the Colombian pop star went backstage to talk to the press. There, she opened up a bit about motherhood, stating that she was home a lot during her pregnancy and that being at the awards show was a bit overwhelming.

Jay Wheeler's birthday behind the scenes
After their heartfelt and powerful performance of “Extrañándote,” Jay Wheeler and Zhamira Zambrano headed backstage in the media center. There, they talked about sharing the stage together, Wheeler's just-released album Música Buena Para Días Malos, and do literally everything together. “If he has to go on tour, I'll go with him,” Zambrano said. Before the lovebirds left the room, the press sang “Happy Birthday” to Wheeler, who was also celebrating his 30th birthday at the Latin AMAs.
