It's hard to believe it's been a decade since 18-year-old Martin Garrix was released. The Martin Garrix showoffering an intimate insight into the life and career of a generational DJ.
Today marks 10 years since the premiere of the EDM superstar's online docuseries, giving fans an inside look at his experiences as one of the world's leading electronic artists. His episodes often feature behind-the-scenes footage of his studio sessions and candid personal moments from his life, and chronicle his adventures headlining major festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra.
Their label, STMPD RCRDS, has now shared the final episode of the show's fifth season. It's a throwback for Garrix, who says he used to look at photographs of Tiësto on his wall and visualize himself performing for the same gigantic crowds as his legendary Dutch compatriot.
“I would build a tent in my old bedroom with disco lights, put on music, close my eyes and pretend I was in front of a big crowd,” he recalls. “My parents have always, from day one, encouraged me to follow whatever my passion is.”
