21 MUSIC SONG festival – NO WORRIES Brewery
By Ralph Beauchamp
On September 20, Frank Viele in collaboration with Bigger Beast Records and All Boats Rise Entertainment held their first history 21 Music festival of Singers at No Worries Brewery in Hamden, Ct. This was a huge effort and the festival went on without a hitch. There were two stages for all the singer/songwriters to perform. The outdoor stage was beautifully constructed and quite suitable for the enjoyable atmosphere of the evening. The indoor scene made the brewery feel intimate and warm. In addition, all proceeds from the event benefited the Musical Intervention. Musical Intervention is a 501C3 organization that uses music and songwriting to help create a safe environment for mental health and addiction recovery.

Viele delivered the ideal group of amazing New England artists. Each performer is a mainstay in the current music scene. He rotated groups of three on both stands, staggered the set times so there were no overlaps. Everyone saw all the artists perform without any problems. Besides Viele, the list of artists was impressive. It included Stephen Peter Rodgers, Riley Cotton, Leo Totten, Eddie Seville and Frank Critelli, among others. One performer sang a song followed by the next artist until all three featured players had a turn. Then they would start giving each artist two songs to carry the night. The performances in the round worked diligently. It was truly awe-inspiring.
The first group to appear dealt with the outdoor scene. D'Pew, Anne Marie Menta and Liz Read set the tone for the entire festival. Their music resonated deeply with audiences and the sonic aura they created was titanic. Next up indoors were Charlotte Roth, Chris Kelly and AMP Associate Marisa Bloom. The chemistry these three provided was intoxicating. Everyone felt the beauty of their music. Secret Cameo, Eddie Seville and Simone Marie followed outside. By now, the musical atmosphere was bright, with all three artists weaving delightful acoustic textures that transported listeners to distant places.
This was followed by Frank Critelli, Adam Christoferson and Brian Larney playing inside No Worries. Their music filled the house with bold sounds. All three are skilled singer/songwriters and the crowd appreciated their fervor. THE 21 Music festival of Singers it was really starting to heat up. Then a true slice of the amazing talent present was on display. Stephen Peter Rodgers, Frank Viele and Kenny Mehler took the stage. These three artists delivered epic performances. Moreover, their scenes were extremely touching. They gave interesting stories immersing the crowd at monstrous rates. It was pure magic.

Hatfield, Riley Cotton and Riley Johnson rounded out the indoor stage rotation. Their music was sassy with cinematic qualities. Once again, their jokes were lively and full of fun. Closing it 21 Songwriting Music festival were Seth Adam, Lee Totten and Someone You Can X-Ray (Lite). This was the absolute best team to end the show with. They were witty and their music shed rich patterns of enchanting grooves.
After all the artists performed, Christina Meadows hosted an “All Are Welcome After Hours Songwriter Circle” that closed the festival.
That was indisputable 21 Music festival of Singers. Frank Viele, Bigger Beast Records and All Boats Rise Entertainment vow to return next year and the years to come. It was a wonderful and daring event. I can tell you right away, don't miss next year. This was an evening of glorious music and divine fellowship. Congratulations to all involved. One last note, No Worries Brewing Company is a really fun dog friendly establishment. My wife and I bring our crazy dog Milan there at least once a month. Kevin Mark is an impressive owner. The feel is relaxed, the brews are great and the staff are great. This was the optimal home for them 21 Music festival of Singers. Also in attendance were WOW Radio's Pam Landry and Brian Smith.
