Flatland Cavalry, “Chasing a Feeling”
Flatland Cavalry look back over the past decade, a stellar catalog of songs and many fan favorites from six previous albums on the new 25-song project Flatland Foreverbut the band also has some top-notch new material built into the album. One of the standouts on Flatland Cavalry's new work is this tender, languid ballad, accented by piano and violin, which captures the heady feeling of music and clapping that draws the musicians to the fore – making the song fit for the completion of the album.
Braxton Keith, “Fall This Way”
Keith, recently signed to Warner Music Nashville, Texas, showcases his laid-back design on his moody, sultry come-on. Written by Dan Alley, Davis Corley and Mark Addison, this track positions Keith as a dedicated country artist with the talent to join the ranks of today's wave of neo-traditional hitmakers. Keith's upcoming EP Bluewill be released on December 6th.
Cameron Whitcomb, “Medusa”
Atlantic Records-signed Whitcomb have a great new release with this haunting, acoustic song about someone finally overcoming the seductive emotional flames of a manipulative relationship. Led by Whitcomb's ferocious voice, this song builds into a roaring, mid-tempo jam that keeps the listener on the last notes.
Halle Kearns, “Love You Back”
This sleek pop-country track finds Cairns teaming up with husband Kelly Roberson on this post-breakup nostalgia track, as they sing about a past love, hoping for reconciliation and a chance to relive the best moments of a relationship. Their voices pair beautifully, giving the song a laid-back, wistful vibe. Earlier this year, Kearns released the EP Quarterly Life Reviewwhile her new song offers a taste of new music on the horizon.
Crowe Boys, “Let Me Feel Alone”
Brothers Ocie Crowe and Wes Crowe sparked a buzz earlier this year with “Where Did I Go Wrong.” Signed to UMG Nashville, they follow up with “Let Me Feel Alone,” a solo penned by Ocie.
“You were a liar, you were my lover, you were my sin,” Osie sings, his full-bodied voice full of resentment and bite. A promising release that showcases their superb musicianship and myriad influences.
