50 Cent has denied allegations of sexual and physical abuse by his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy.
“The disturbing allegations in the affidavits recently filed in a court case involving Daphne Joy, the mother of my twelve-year-old child, have led me to take all legal action necessary to protect my son Sire,” the rapper told statement received. with The Hollywood Reporter. “The latest false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus right now.”
The statement comes shortly after Joy – who turned 50 in 2011 and shares son Sire with him – took to Instagram on Thursday (March 28) to allege that 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) sexually abused and assaulted her. Joy was also named in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones' lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, along with Diddy's ex-girlfriend Yung Miami, who allegedly received money for sex work.
“Curtis James Jackson. Everything is a joke to you until our safety is compromised, which is happening now. You cause real havoc, frenzy and chaos in people's lives. How would you feel if Sire was the one in handcuffs? For nothing,” she wrote in her post. “We moved to New York to give you the chance to be a father to your son and you saw him 10 times in the 2 years we lived 1 mile away from you. I'm tired of supporting and protecting an image for our son that you never earned.”
Joy also denied the allegations from Jones' lawsuit, writing on Instagram, “I am deeply hurt by the lies in the Rodney Jones lawsuit. The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining counsel to explore all legal remedies against both Rodney and his attorney.”
