Snoop Dogg has provided an update on his daughter’s health after she suffered a “severe” stroke.
The rap legend has revealed that his 24-year-old daughter Cori Broadus is doing “better” after suffering a stroke on 18 January.
“She’s doing a little bit better,” Snoop, 52, told People on Tuesday.
The outlet asked the Gin & Juice rapper if Cori’s medical emergency had put life into perspective for him, to which he replied, “Yeah, yeah. Something like that.”
Snoop’s comments came shortly after his daughter shared her own health update on Instagram.
“They took me off heparin tonight (blood thinner) & most likely can go home tomorrow,” she wrote on Tuesday.
Cori also shared that her health had been “improving” over the weekend.
“God is working overtime you hear me!” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “My kidneys were doing terrible…doctors came in this am and said they are improving so much.”
Cori, who is the CEO of beauty brand Choc Factory, revealed via Instagram that she suffered a “severe” stroke last week.
“I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me,” she wrote at the time. “Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
Cori has suffered from medical problems since she was a child. She was diagnosed with lupus at the age of six.
Snoop shares Cori with his wife Shante Broadus. The couple also share sons Cordell, 26, and Corde, 29.
