French production duo citadel are back with a new and spectacular remix of Matisse and Sadkorecent track”Take me through the fire.” The Citadelle remix retains the melody and looped synth vocals of the original, but gives the track a darker, more progressive house tone, similar to the sound that has been dominating festival stages for the past year.
The track opens with some light synth pads over the yearning vocals. It soon becomes clear that this will be more than just a lo-fi house tune – the vocal build-up is exceptional production. The release incorporates the crazy synth of the original, but expands and deepens the sound of the original. The bass and underlying synths provide a drive that the original simply doesn't have.
