Introducing Lavier and Murkury's upcoming EP, Worlds collide. After some good releases in January, “END ALL BE ALL // FUCK OFF”, Lavier remains on track with a new three-track EP, featuring the following selected tracks: “Worlds Collide”, “Final Approach” and “Worlds Collide (Criso Remix)”.
“Murkury and I met almost 10 years ago when we both lived in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This area is the birthplace of both of our projects and the people, environment and experiences we had there played a huge role in shaping both of us as people and musicians. We've become really close friends over the years, playing shows together and messing around with some collaborations here and there, but nothing really came of it until we started working on this project. We called this EP 'Worlds Collide' because you can clearly hear each of our artistic voices on both tracks, but they come together as one in a really cohesive way.” – Lavier
Lavier and Murkury bring experimental bass to life on this EP, adding ambiguous elements and a kaleidoscopic tone. The crunchy bass line steps out of the comfort zone, calling out for the deeply hidden wonk. This EP complements each other with each track imposing its own characteristics and coming together to deliver a new wave.
Lavier is set to tour next week, performing at the Black Box in Denver, CO on February 22followed by the next day February 23 at Asheville Music Hall in Asheville, NC.
