Bat For Lashes Announce New album, Share Video For 'The Dream Of Delphi'

Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan) has announced a new album. The dream of Delphiand shared its title via a music video. The dream of Delphi it is expected to be released on May 31st via the Mercury KX. Check out the video below, followed by the tracklist and album art.

The dream of Delphi is Bat For Lashes' sixth album and follows in 2019 Lost Girls. The album is named after her daughter, who was born in 2020. “I thought motherhood would take me away from my art, but it opened up this huge world,” says Khan.

Khan had this to say about the new single: “This is the manifesto of the album. It's like a spell. It is the conception, the manifestation, the removal of Delphi from the ether. This is what I call her soul. It's about ascending to the stars and descending to the underworld at the same time, how the heavenly and deep gut sounds can come together, how that reflects the journey I've been on. It's about what happens when you're stretched physically, mentally, and even vaginally! I think it humbled me to become a mother too. It made me feel more vulnerable than I had ever felt before. But I feel more human, more embodied. I can't get away with making beautiful things like I did. But there is a beauty in my mortality now.”
