Casupanan reveals that BTS's hit “Dynamite” in particular became a source of strength as they took on challenge after challenge. Survivor. She also tells of her journey to becoming part of ARMY, as well as how BTS's own story of going from a garage in suburban Seoul to world tours and international stardom inspired her once she found herself on a reality competition.
“I have experienced the feeling of being underestimated and ignored,” she says, “and I discovered that many people who identified with my story in Survivor, They resonated with it because they also experienced it in some way. I think there are probably a lot of ARM members who feel that way too and I think that's part of why it's so fun to root for someone like BTS. Even if we haven't recorded an album in a small garage, we've probably all had moments where we're like, 'Okay, we're walking into this situation and someone doesn't think we have what it takes, but we have to find it.' a way to persist.'”
