Thank you so much for that congratulations. I appreciate it. Nah, hands down, best night of my life. I’m still processing it, babe. This is why I’m tired, I can’t sleep. I ain’t partying. I’m getting into bed at midnight and I’m sleeping at 6:00 AM because my brain is like, what just happened?
I definitely feel so supported. I honestly just feel very overwhelmed and I’m just trying to take it in. It’s like your whole life, you’re like, work towards this dream, work towards this dream, work towards this dream, but actually that achieving them kind of things, it’s just like, whoa.

Me and her have been in writing rooms, writing for other artists for years. We met years ago. And since the day I met her, I just knew, you’re a real one, you are welcome into my life, and I want you to win. So, it’s just been nothing but love and support. We’ve stayed in touch a lot, honestly, over the years. I’m so happy to see that girl get her flowers, man. The hard work and the sacrifice and the passion that it takes to be able to deliver artistry to the level that she is.

I got some flowers from some people that I really admire. I got a letter from Elton John. He wrote and said, “I can’t wait to tell you how much your music means to me.”
RAYE on performing live at The BRIT Awards…
I was really nervous the day before because we didn’t have as much time. It was the day before, so I was worried. And there was things that was going wrong in the rehearsals, like my wire was getting tangled in this and I was missing my cue. Your heart beats when you’re like, tomorrow I have to do this. Not like this. I have to do it great, and this isn’t great. So I was definitely putting a lot of pressure on myself, but I’m really happy that when it came to the time, I actually found peace and I was like, I’m just going to really enjoy this moment, and I was able to, so I’m really glad that that was the case.

No, I can’t multitask. I’m like all or nothing, and we have been on the road doing shows, so the second that I come up for air, I needed just a little bit of time to process live, and then I’m really excited to start writing properly again.
