Morat talks about playing at their home – Campín – in Bogotá, Colombia, their reaction to their cover of Groupo Frontera's song “No Se Va” and the upcoming collaboration with the regional Mexican music group, about how they're growing their gigs for their upcoming Latin American stadium tour, reveal the name of their latest single and more!
Juan Pablo Isaza:
Hi to all! We're Morat and you're watching Billboard News.
Leila Cobo:
Morat, welcome to Billboard.
Morat:
Thanks.
Leila Cobo:
You are finishing the stadium tour in the United States, the first stadium tour.
Morat:
Very.
Leila Cobo:
Yes, it's a lot. And you are a pop-rock group in the United States, singing in Spanish. I think the only other team that has done that is Maná.
Morat:
Wow! This is huge.
Leila Cobo:
Have you ever imagined that in an urban world, you would do this?
Morat:
It was a dream. We have dreamed of it. But we didn't imagine it that way. This is our fourth tour in the United States.
Juan Pablo Isaza:
At first we didn't expect anything specific. The mentality has always been as long as it is in the United States, we will go. Anywhere.
Leila Cobo:
At a friend's apartment.
Juan Pablo Isaza:
And it has grown. Fortunately, this year he surprised us.
Leila Cobo:
You played in Miami at the Kaseya Center, which is like “Colombia central”, right? How did it feel to walk out into that stadium and see 15,000 people there? It was sold out. Confess, did you cry?
Morat:
No. No, this team doesn't cry.
