Even successful, award-winning celebrities can be hurt by relentless online bullies. Although singer-songwriter Jelly Roll has many No. 1 Country Airplay under his belt, sold-out concerts, Grammy nominations, CMA Awards and a nominee for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award at May's Academy of Country Music Awards , like many people, he has been the target of online bullies.
In a TikTok video clip highlighting Wednesday's (April 24) episode Silly blonde podcast, Bunnie XO, who is married to Jelly Roll, discussed the painful impact cyberbullying has had on her husband.
“My husband left the internet because he's so tired of being bullied about his weight,” she says in a TikTok clip shared on Sunday (April 21). “And it makes me want to cry, because he's the sweetest baby angel. My husband doesn't show it to you, but I'm going to have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him.
“The Internet can say whatever they want about you and they say, 'You're a celebrity. You're supposed to be able to handle it.' No, we're not… Enough is enough,” he continued. “Don't bully people, because you never know where they are mentally. There are a lot of people who aren't as strong as me who are on the internet and they don't deserve to be bullied.”
Jelly Roll is also open about his struggles with his weight, saying People that he has lost 70 pounds while training to participate in the upcoming 2 Bears 5K on May 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
The businesswoman also called out internet trolls and bullies who try to bully her and her family. “I will defend all underdogs. You're never going to bully me. You are never going to lie about me or my family and I will fight to the end,” she said in the TikTok clip. “I love it when people say, 'Bunny is a bad person. Just wait and see.' I have been online for 15 years. When will they see? I am waiting. What you see is what you get with me. I'm not pretending to be something I'm not…all you have to do is leave me and my family alone and you won't be called.”
