Hayley Williams is loving this new era of Taylor Swift.
The Paramore singer opened up on her Instagram Stories following the release of longtime friend Swift's 11th studio album. Department of Tormented Poets, to name the project as one of her favorites in honor of Record Store Day. “You had me from the story alone, my friend,” Williams wrote alongside the cover. “Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It's so impressive to me how concrete and colorful Taylor's words become without ever losing the universal thread. I'm so ready to be fellow travelers.”
Paramore is set to serve as Swift's opening act on her extensive Eras tour, when it continues on May 9 in Paris, France. The band will remain on tour for all of their international dates.
Swift announced the news in July 2023 in the form of a post with a photo of the two old friends with their arms draped over each other's shoulders. “I really can't contain my excitement because… we're adding 14 new shows to The Eras tour,” she wrote. “And traveling the world doing shows with @paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teenagers in nashville and now we're going to be hanging out in the UK/Europe next summer??? I scream???”
Most recently, Swift and Williams teamed up for “Castles Crumbling” from 2023 Speak Now (Taylor Edition).
