The Weeknd's postponed Australian tour has now been canceled and ticket holders will be refunded.
The Canadian R&B superstar had originally planned an 11-date stadium tour in Australia and New Zealand, passing through the two countries last November and December.
Then two weeks before After Hours Til Dawn tour was about to start, the trip was postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
A statement issued at the time confirmed that new dates for 2024 would be announced and current tickets would be valid for these new shows.
This is no longer the case. Although replacement dates were never announceda statement from LN confirms that the existing 2023 tour will be canceled while Live Nation, which produced the tour, continues to explore a rescheduled route.
“The Weeknd 'After Hours Til Dawn' tour for Australia and New Zealand is still in the process of being rescheduled,” reads a statement from LN, seen by Advertising sign. “While we continue to work through the rescheduling process with the artist, tickets for the existing 2023 tour will be canceled with all ticket holders receiving a full refund accordingly.”

The tour was originally announced last August with just four shows, visiting each of Australia's three major east coast cities – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – and including a single date in Auckland, New Zealand.
Additional dates were added last September, bringing the itinerary to 11 in both markets.
The Weeknd's tour is scrapped as Australia's festival market navigates troubled waters. In recent weeks, the 2024 editions of Splendor in the Grass, Mona Foma and Groovin The Moo, with cheap ticket sales playing a part in each story.
The inauguration Sound control report, published by Creative Australia, found the climate for running a festival was “very complex”, with event organizers facing a myriad of issues from rapidly rising costs, changing ticketing behavior and more.
Despite his situation Down Under, The Weeknd continues to churn out hits. In recent days, Abel Tesfaye became just the 18th artist to score at least 100 career hits on the Hot 100, thanks to a pair of guest appearances on Future's new album and Metro Boomin's Billboard 200 No. 1 We still don't trust you: The set's title track, which debuts at No. 22, and “All to Myself,” which starts at No. 67.
In the US, he has earned seven No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
