Kate Hudson looks back on her time Joy.
The star sat with me Joy stars Jenna Ushkowitz in her newest episode Brotherly feastwhere the Almost famous actress hosts with her brother Oliver Hudson. “It was a very dramatic set,” Kate recalls of the hit Fox series. “Well, you know, when you have all these personalities and all this talent and all this youth, and lots of hormones… it's young and new.”
The actress appeared in five episodes during its fourth season Joyportraying Cassandra Julius, Rachel Berry [Lea Michele] dance teacher.
Ushkowitz says the set's “dramatic” feel was possible because of the time the cast spent together. “We were all very close,” said the star, who played Tina Cohen-Chang on the series. “And yes, we had our fights, but we really were a family and it was easier to get along than not. And as dramatic as it was, there are so many moving parts of our show and so many cast members and so many personalities.”
Hudson agreed, adding: “I think it was because you were all so close and the show was so huge. So you are all this little family, and of course within it you will have all the things that come with it.”
