U2 bassist Adam Clayton has divorced his wife of 10 years, Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho.
The 64 -year-old musician and his lawyer wife, 45, said their split was amicable and they will co-parent their six-year-old daughter Alba together in a statement from their representative to Ireland’s Sunday World newspaper.
“After more than 10 of marriage, musician Adam Clayton and lawyer Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho have amicably divorced,” their statement read. “Both will continue to be fully involved in the care of their daughter and they request that the family’s privacy be respected.”
Adam and Mariana wed in Dublin in 2013 and then held a second ceremony days later at a chateau on the French Riviera.They subsequently welcomed daughter Alba in July 2017.
The rocker previously had a high-profile romance with supermodel Naomi Campbell, briefly getting engaged in 1994, before splitting the same year.
Adam also got engaged to Susie Smith, a former assistant to U2’s manager Paul McGuinness, in 2006, before separating the next year.
