Taylor Swift Nabs UK Chart Double as 'Fortnight' Debuts at No.1

It's a Taylor Swift double in the UK chart as well Department of Tormented Poets (EMI) opens at No. 1 and the US pop star locks down three of the top four on the national singles survey, including the No. 1 spot.

Also, TTPD The track “Down Bad” (No. 4) enters the top 10 on debut, bringing TayTay's career tally of top hits to 28 (no more than three songs from an album can be eligible for the UK singles chart).

Meanwhile, US singer/actress Sabrina Carpenter is hot on the heels of “Espresso” (Island), 6-5 for her UK career top spot.

Further down, Drake's Kendrick Lamar diss track “Push Ups” (OVO/Republic Records) debuts at No. 14, giving the Canadian superstar hip-hop artist his 93rd UK top 40 single.

There's another US country artist making an impression on the UK top 40, this time singer-songwriter Shaboozey with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (via American Dogwood/Empire), up 41-16. Shaboozey's profile received a boost in the UK after appearing on Beyoncé's chart-topping LP Cowboy Carter. Dasha's “Austin” (Warner Records) still leads the UK top 10, up 7-10.

Finally, Headie One's “Cry No More” (Columbia), a collaboration with Stormzy and Tay Keith, bows at No.33, for Headie's 16th, Stormzy's 31st and Tay Keith's second UK appearance at top 40.
