After recently returning to deliver their much-loved comeback single “HELLO,” their first new material in two years and their debut release via Ignition Records, Welsh indie rockers Public Order are back once again with the official video for his last job.
Marking their first set of visuals as a four-piece, the new video for “HELLO,” directed by Jay Davison, makes for an incredibly bold and cinematic affair. Combining a live performance element with a vibrant and colorful feel, they certainly look to continue the impactful presence of their last release here.
Adding about the new video, they said: “I'm excited to release the HOLA video. We had a great time doing it with Jay. It was a lot of fun to do and it destroyed him. Plus, it's our first official video as a quartet now that we have Dan on drums. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.”

In 2022, Welsh indie rock band Public Order released their breakthrough debut single 'Feels Like Summer', which saw them plucked from virtual obscurity to appear on the FIFA 2022 soundtrack, garnering two million streams and counting, and with support from artists such as BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders. But soon after, they were dropped from their label, forced to return to their day jobs and had to start over.
A true underdog story, Public Order persevered in writing new music and recently found a new home at London-based independent company Ignition Records, with a post telling their story on TikTok earlier this year attracting immediate attention and new fans with almost half a million views to date.
After working with Grammy Award winner Jim Abbiss on his new EP, “HELLO” is the first new music to be revealed. Bringing back more of that euphoric indie-rock aesthetic that caught so much attention the first time around, “HELLO” sees them return to the fold in dazzling style. Packed with expansive, immersive textures, dizzying atmosphere, and stellar vocals throughout, they look to make even more noise for their second time in the spotlight.
Speaking about the new song, the band enthused: “It's been a while but we're excited to be back with new music! The last 18 months have been a bit of a rollercoaster for us, but we took some time to work on new music and even managed to sign a new record deal. 'HELLO', produced by fellow Welsh residents Damon Minchella and Tom Manning, is the first track taken from an upcoming EP. It is a pulsating indie song with guitars that we love and have been fighting to get out into the world.”
As close childhood friends, the band spent much of their adolescence exploring a wide range of musical interests. Citing early material from The Stone Roses and The Prodigy as influences, the group's direction slowly morphed into a combination of two worlds; the rhythms of the electronic scene that fill the dance floor and the daring and dazzling sound of live guitars and drums. While their style is rooted in those hedonistic days of late-night raves, they have begun to add a new style and spin to their sound, delivering raw yet joyful textures that have grown with recent experimentation and adventure.
