Kendrick Lamar and Drake have engaged in an explosive back-and-forth that has taken a dark turn according to some observers, but the attack is far from over. Kendrick Lamar, fresh off dropping the awesome track “Meet The Grahams,” took aim at Drake and repeated some serious accusations with “Not Like Us.”
Produced by DJ Mustard, “Not Like Us” offers what some consider to be the first in a series of Lamar diss tracks for a sonic approach that may end up burning out of content creators' streaming channels and devotees' headphones fans.
Unlike the awful 'Meet The Grahams', 'Not Like Us' is a much more upbeat affair but still maintains the intensity of previously released tracks with K-Dot not taking his foot off the gas not in the least.
From “Not Like Us”:
Say, Drake, I hear you like young
Better never go to block 1
To whomever b*tch talks to him and they are in love
Just make sure you hide your sister from him
I'm told Chubs is the only one who shakes your hands
And Party at the party, playing with his nose now
And Baca got a weird case, why is he around?
Certified Boy Lover? Certified pedophiles
Whoah, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, Whoop, kill them
Whoah, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, I'll do my thing
Why do you like ab*tch? Are not you tired;
Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A-Minor
Adding to allegations that Drake has been targeting younger women, K-Dot delivered “A-Minor” in an expansive song style designed to pull deep. The above bars also look at Canadian superstar Chubbs' head of security, PartyNextDoor and Baka Not Nice, who allegedly forced a woman into prostitution and later pleaded guilty to assault and other charges in 2015.
While some fans thought Drizzy made a valiant effort with “Family Matters,” the pendulum is swinging in Kendrick Lamar's direction, especially given the fact that he took time to respond to previous jabs, but has unloaded the entire clip.
Over at X, formerly Twitter, the debate is raging over who's winning the battle, and we've got comments from all sides below.
