Drake has responded to Kendrick Lamar as some expected with 'The Heart Part 6', adding new fuel to their explosive feud. In the track, the Canadian superstar addresses the accusations of having an underage romance and more, and fans on Xitter are wondering if enough is enough.
I want to speak for myself for a minute and express that I have never cared less about a rap beef. I find nothing compelling, interesting, or exciting about two black titans of culture fighting and exposing each other. What is the end goal? It does nothing for the greater good. And, as Vince Stapes said, this only helps a certain segment of the industry and certainly not the creators. Anyway, let's get into this newest salvo from Drake.
The response title “The Heart Part 6” is clearly taking a page out of Kendrick Lamar and his “The Heart” series and directly addresses some of the heinous acts K-Dot has accused Drizzy of.
From “The Heart Part 6”:
The Pulitzer Prize winner is definitely spiraling”
I got your fucking lines, I swear they're calling me
First, I was a rat, so where is the trial proof?
Where are the papers or the filed cabinet?
1090 Jake would have knocked down all the walls
The streets would make me hide in a small town
Montreal connects me standing, not falling
The ones you get your stories from are all clowns
I am a war general, skilled in preparation
My jacket is covered in medals, honors and decorations
You waited for this moment, overcome with despair
We planned for a week and then gave you the information
An eleven year old daughter, I bet she'll take it
We thought about giving a fake name or destination
But you, so thirsty, don't care about research
Instead of you at Advantage Studio, it's a celebration
Considering Kendrick Lamar seemingly despises Drake, most fans expect a response from that side very soon. As it stands, fans of the couple are rooting for their loved ones while critics are taking their stands as expected. We've got reactions from X, ex-Twitter, from all sides below along with the piece in question.
