Hinds Previews New Album With 'Boom Boom Back' With Beck

Good news: Yours The favorite Spanish rock band is back. Hinds will release their new album Viva Hinds! on September 6 via Lucky Number.

Ahead of the release, the duo – Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote – dropped the super cool rocker “Boom Boom Back”. The track features Beck, who they met spontaneously at a film screening in Los Angeles. The self-directed video below shows Cosials and Perrote hanging out in Hollywood, eating ice cream and sitting in the trunk of a car tossing a soccer ball back and forth.

“Boom Boom Back” follows the single “Coffee,” which Hinds released in February (they wrote the track during their fiery set at Rolling rockthe SXSW showcase a month later). Viva Hinds!, their fourth album, marks the band's return as a duo. Their bass player and drummer left after 2020 The most beautiful cursebut they decided to continue, describing themselves as “friendship millionaires”.

In addition to Beck, Grian Chatten of Fontaines DC also contributed Viva Hinds!, appears on the track “Stranger”. The record was cut in rural France and produced by Pete Robertson, the former Vaccines drummer who went on to produce Beabadoobee.

Hinds will return to North America for a tour this fall, kicking off in San Diego on October 12th. They will hit several cities across the country before ending in Warsaw, Brooklyn on October 29th.
