Megan Thee Stallion takes to the skies in the latest edition of her #MeganMonday series this week. The MC dropped the fiery “Like a G6 Freestyle,” a hard-hitting version of Far East Movement's 2010 hit, in which Meg once again notes that she has the hottest pen in the game.
Wearing a curly blonde wig held up by shiny red headphones, a baby pink top and red leather pants in the video, Meg heats things up on the Bankroll Got It production track, racing out of the gate with a line that pays homage to Academy Award-winning Memphis hip-hop legends Three 6 Mafia in a verse that ends with a shout-out to Hunger Games. “Know that I gotta stay flyin' like Three 6/ Got the strap on my bag like a freak b–ch/ Feeling with a damn good reason/ Feelin' like a housewife holding my peaches,” she raps. “Add them up, b–ches ain't even a fraction/ I'm starving in this game like I'm fightin' for my faction/ Stallion, say my name, tails start wagging”/ Called PETA “cause I ” I'm sending 'shots like Katniss'.
She nonchalantly drops a few skin-searing expletives (“Megan this, Megan this, boo-hoo, boo-hoo/ You're so crazy Megan don't want me to fight you/ Donkey, long hair like a Shih Tzu/ Thumbin' through this mother fufu-like dough”), ending the 85-second blitz with a final reminder not to mess with her.
“Random moves, you're an NPC/ No editing on these JPG/T—mother's relatives appearing through this maternal relative JPG/Gaultier, b–ch, you know I was ORIGINAL to your favorites / In ballpoint, I got the best pen in the game,” he concludes.
Meg kicked off the series earlier this month by freestyling to a beat from Gucci Mane's 2010 song “I Think I Love Her” before taking a week off to promote her new single, “Boa.” Her final season also included the release of the similarly snake-themed single “Hiss” – which reached No.1 on Advertising sign Hot 100) — and “Cobra.”
She also just kicked off her Hot Girl Summer tour with GloRilla, which hits NYC's Madison Square Garden tonight (May 21).
