A woman has come forward on social media with allegations of rape and sexual abuse against MRAK, co-founder of the acclaimed brand Afterlife and half of the electronic music duo Tale of Us.
She claims that the DJ, whose real name is Carmine Conte, drugged her after the Afterlife event in Buenos Aires on April 7, 2024. The woman says she did not consume alcohol or any substances, but she lost consciousness and eventually woke up with ” blood running”. [her] legs.”
The accuser says she returned to her home in Guadalajara and checked into an emergency room to seek treatment. Doctors there, she said, informed her to take legal action.
“I have all the evidence of my rape: real-time locations, photos with all of her work equipment and the prescriptions of the doctor I went to, who is a witness to my sexual abuse,” the woman wrote in an Instagram post.
The woman's full statement can be read below. Conte has not publicly responded to her accusations as of this writing.
