What if we told you one of the best clips on the internet that featured Safaree doing the robot? We'll get to that in a bit, but first let's talk about what Safaree recently posted on X. Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend and ex-collaborator took to the social network and questioned what he was doing on Nicki's “Super Bass” video.
“What the hell was I doing in this super bass video,” he wrote. “Son I'm really mad a&& ni%%%a I don't give a sh*% for nothing.”
He's referring, of course, to the dance he randomly did at the end of the video for Nicki's single. Safaree makes his iconic cameo in the Sanaa Hamri-directed clip around the three-minute mark. He appears on a platform next to his ex-girlfriend and starts popping and locking like crazy as they both glow in the dark.
And since we're in the spirit of looking back, let's take a detour down memory lane and go back to 2010. That's when Safaree blew up the robot during a live performance in the Late Show with David Letterman alongside Nicki and will.i.am.
You'll see him in the back standing still as a statue waiting for the right moment to slide onto that stage and show them who's who and what's what. Around the two and a half minute mark, Safaree brings the robot to life and pulls up just in time for Nicki's verse. This is truly an incredible piece of content and reminds us that the 2010s were simpler times.
Luckily, a user X did the hard work and made a clip of his cameo for everyone to enjoy whenever they see fit.
