Pride season is here, and along with all the panels, parades, and festivities, it also means the return of Pride-themed merchandise and collections from (mostly) benevolent companies. One such example is Target, which has once again curated a Pride Shop on her website, she sells everything from transparent rainbow bags for events, yes “Safe Space” door mats.along with t-shirts, home decor, cookware and even pet accessories.
But one piece of Target Pride merch has caught the internet's attention because it's equal parts kitsch and exciting: Pride(?) themed charcuterie board..
TARGET PRIDE COLLECTION
It's a Giving Charcuterie Wood Board
Officially sold as “It's a Giving Charcuterie Wood Board” (we also had to read that twice), the rectangle-shaped disc is just under eight inches long, which is the perfect size to get a good grip on your meat. A built-in handle helps you hold it with one hand, while a small opening allows the wood to be hung on the wall for easy storage.
The mini charcuterie board is perfect for Pride parties and wine and cheese nights, with enough room for a few slices of cheese, charcuterie and some crackers.
Social media users, however, are divided on whether the Target Pride charcuterie board is a serving, or troubling tired stereotypes. While some feel that Target is unfairly capitalizing on Pride merchandise, others say that the “It's Giving Charcuterie” board is actually giving us some harmless fun.
The target reviewers are equally divided, with 50% of reviewers giving the Pride charcuterie board a full five-star review and the other 50% giving it a one-star rating. Either way, this Pride release gives people a good conversation starter.
If you want to buy Target “It's Giving Charcuterie,” you'll have to act fast. Social media users have reported that the tray has sold out in many stores, but luckily you can still find the charcuterie board in stock online here.
