Pixies have returned with a surprise double A-side single to coincide with the launch of their co-headlining North American tour with Modest Mouse and Cat Power (get tickets here).
Marking the Pixies' first new music of 2024, “You're So Impatient” is an original number that the band describes as an “explosive two-minute, nine-second mall zombie attack.” It also marks their first recording with new bassist Emma Richardson, formerly of Band of Skulls, who replaced Paz Lenchantin earlier this year.
The other song is a cover of the 1950s classic “Que Sera, Sera,” which the band originally recorded for the soundtrack of the television series. Of. Both tracks stream below and will also be pressed on limited edition 7-inch vinyl, available for purchase on July 19.
The Pixies' tour with Modest Mouse and Cat Power officially launched last week in Charleston, South Carolina, with dates running through the end of June. The band will then tour the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia later in 2024. See their full tour itinerary below.
