Friko—the duo of singer/guitarist Niko Kapetan and drummer Bailey Minzenberger—are touring this year. The Chicago indie rockers will be criss-crossing North America this summer before heading to Europe in the fall. Friko announce this news along with a faithful Radiohead cover At Rainbows classic 'Weird Fishes / Arpeggi', with soulful strings. Listen to it below.
After appearing in his hometown of Chicago on June 14, Friko will perform at major music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Newport Folk festival and Fuji Rock before joining Royel Otis as the opening act on a North American tour. When that leg wraps up in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 22nd, Friko will fly overseas in November for his first European tour. Find the full list of their tour dates below.
Friko released their debut album, Where We've Been, Where Do We Go From Here?in February, via ATO. Includes the songs “Crimson to Chrome“, “For Ella“, “Where We Were,” and “Crashing Through”.
