MisterWives Rock Out With Charlotte Sands on 'Other Side', Announces 20-Date Tour

The MisterWives album Bleeding from the nose gets a second life! On Friday, the band released a reworked, rockier version of album track “Other Side,” featuring Charlotte Sands. They also celebrate the arrival of new music by announcing their autumn Just For One Night tour.

Frontwoman Mandy Lee describes “Other Side” as a song about dealing with the “unhealthy side effects” of comparison and overcoming them to experience gratitude. “That's just how we feel right now,” he says. The track is set to be played Nosebleeds: Encorewhich will hear the band rework every song on the album with a new guest.

“From the studio to playing it live, every iteration of 'Other Side' has been pure fun, and the honor of having Charlotte on the song has taken it to new heights,” adds Lee of working with Sands. “Her talent, heart and the power of her voice are as awe-inspiring as her stellar career as an independent artist, and sharing the stage with her was a true masterclass.” Regarding the track's layered meanings, Lee continues, “Underneath the calculation of comparison and its unhealthy side effects, the spirit of 'Other Side' is gratitude, and that's exactly what we feel right now.”

For her part, Sands says she's always been a “huge fan” of indie pop band Reflections and was honored to join Lee on the song. “Watching her energy on stage really makes me a better performer. They have such momentum sonically and continue to make the best music of their career, which they then somehow follow up with even better music,” says Sands. “I am forever impressed and so incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work with them.”

After his fall I call again version of their album with new collaborations, the group will hit the road with Joan as opener on all dates and several other guests. The group will make stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Boston and Orlando.
