CRIM is a 30 year old MC from Detroit, Michigan who started out under the original name Crimson Alchemist releasing her debut EP Q4 in 2018 drawing inspiration from her love of Pokémon and then the 2020 Valentine's Day theme 4H (For Her) only one month until the world as we know it goes into lockdown. Since then she's been releasing singles and making music, but she's taking the next step in her official comeback, changing her moniker and releasing her 3rd EP, although her first project in over 4 years.
“Wrong Turn” kicks off the EP's technical mix and passion for a lifetime of commitment to pianos, kicks and snares, while “Adversary” is that synth-boom hybrid that speaks of officially swearing it's all wrong. “The Whitney” featuring Jazar & Semi 6 begins its 2nd half. to boom boom to talk about reconstruction.
I was lucky enough to meet CRIM a few summers ago when Fatt Father delivered his 5th album Soccer dad Produced by Foul Mouth and found the way he combined conscious lyricism with the nerdcore style of hip hop to be quite distinctive. In the meantime However, it could be my new favorite EP of hers & one that should wake up those who have been sleeping her for over a decade. Instrumentally, you get the traditional boom bap sound and CRIM jumps over them recapping what he's been through.
