This week, Billboard New Music Latin summary and playlist — curated Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists like Paulo Londra, Ángela Aguilar and Mario Bautista, to name a few.
Ready for a flashback? Mexican band Magneto — made up of original members Elías, Mauri, Alan, Tono and Alex — made a long-awaited comeback after 25 years without releasing new music. The '90s ensemble unleashed “Prender El Fuego Otra Vez,” which is a great way to describe the moment: lighting fire again.
In his regional Mexico season, Mario Bautista marks a new beginning with Phoenix. “It took me years to get back to Mario Alberto [his real name]and give him the steering wheel,” said the Mexican singer-songwriter Advertising sign about the album. “Today, this brings me joy and peace, and 'Fénix' represents this new stage, this rebirth.”
Other new releases include Paulo Londra's “Paracaídas,” Ángela Aguilar's mariachi ballad “Gotitas Saladas,” Cimafunk's Chino Pacas' “Pretty, Mami Chula,” among many others.
Last week, music fans voted for Feid's “Sorry 4 That Much,” garnering more than 65% of the vote and beating out other dropped releases such as Natti Natasha's “Quiéreme Menos,” Kbron y Medio's ” by Christian Nodal, Joaquina's “Pesimista” and “El Caballito” by Fariana and Oro Solido, as well as a new joint EP by Maluma and Blessed, titled 1 of 1. In second place in the poll was “Polvo de tu Vida” by J Balvin and Chencho Corleone with 28% of the vote.
