Chrissy Teigen Defends Her Bathroom Practices

On Wednesday (June 19), the Desire The author has hit back at criticism over a video her husband John Legend posted showing her cleaning herself in “dirty” bath water.

“Right now I'm roasting the internet for being dirty because no one heard the sound of me soaking my body (to shower after!),” Teigen wrote on Instagram. “You're making arguments in John's comments. My favorite is “bathrooms are not for bathing”.

He added, “Although I love a good old roast, you guys are killing it (it never touches the grass).”

Legend poked fun at the situation in the comments section of her post. “Bathrooms aren't for bathing they're an amazing internet connection,” he wrote.

Earlier in the week, the R&B crooner shared a clip on Instagram of his naked wife soaking in a bathtub filled with brown water. “Sometimes you have to exfoliate! @chrissyteigen's favorite @loved01skin product,” she captioned the video.

In the clip, Teigen explains that she removes her body makeup while scrubbing her leg with a towel as Legend carries over a bottle of his skincare brand, Loved01. After seeing a flood of criticism, she took to the comments to reiterate that “the water is dirty because I'm cleaning my body like I said in the video my sweet angels!”.

But viewers didn't seem convinced. “This dirty water wtf,” one person commented. Another added, “IDGAF if it's makeup. It looks dirty.”

Teigen and Legend are currently attending the 2024 Cannes Lions festival in France. The EGOT winner performed during a Spotify event on Tuesday (June 18).
